Welcome to the Geisha and Houkan Show “The Beauty of Edo”.
Please enjoy the dancing and performances of real Geisha and Houkan from Rokkagai with seasonal Japanese lunch. Rokkagai means six famous Geisha district in Tokyo, which are Mukojima, Akasaka, Shimbashi, Kagurazaka, Yoshicho and Asakusa. In this show, you can experience the fascinating performances and traditional Japanese arts.
After the show, you can also take photos with performers, might be the great memories.

Geisha or Geiko
Geisha is a woman highly trained in the arts of music, dance and entertaining. The words geisha consists of two kanji, “芸 (gei)” means “art” and “者 (sha)” means “person”. The most literal translation of geisha into English would be “artist”, “performing artist”, or “artisan”. Another name for geisya is “芸妓(Geiko)”, which translates specifically as “Woman of Art”. This term is used to refer to geisya from Western Japan, which includes Kyoto and Kanazawa.

Houkan:Hachiko Sakuragawa
Houkan is Japanese version of the jester. In order to make the guests enjoyable, to make the party exciting, Houkan shows his talent, such as talking or pantomime, and cooperating with geisha. Only six Houkans remain in Japan. In this show, the Houkan Mr. Sakuragawa Hachiko will show the powerful and unforgettable performance for you.
